I have been waiting months for Teen Dream, and it’s finally here. Good. But it’s not what I wanted. I wanted Devotion Pt. 2, or something. Like an extension of what I already knew and LOVED. But this album is waaayy cleaner. Like if you told me that Clive Davis produced this record, I’d say, “Okay.” And this shit always happens when people go on Sub-Pop. It’s owned by Warner Brothers, so we get the whole trickle down thing going. But I’m not going to blame it on Beach House. They did their part, the music and colors are both very rich and vibrant. But seriously, can we start a fuck sub-pop group? Please? This is by no means a tragedy though. Beautiful record. Get it, love it.
